About

Do you have what it takes to be a Community Outreach Educator? Learn, teach and explore community led capacity building with us.
 
We are looking for Community Outreach Specialist to help us teach volunteer readiness skills, host community mental health sessions, and lead community mentorship conversations.
 
Each session is 2-hours once a week (every Tuesday). One hour consist of financial literacy education including understanding credit, personal finance strategies, budgeting and much more. The other hour is dedicated to community mental health, mentorship, and community-led capacity building. All educators are trained and provided with weekly lesson plans. 
 
Outreach Educators are responsible for, but is not limited to: 
  • Teaching and assisting various with activities 
  • Providing support academically, emotionally, and socially. 
  • Monitoring academic success. 
 
Student Demographics: Ages 13-65+, Durham County Location
